iPhone 3Gs at the beach

Continued from a previous thread on iPhone in the studio (something we will be trying soon)…

Last year, I decided to approach a weekend hiking and camping trip to a my favorite beach in Hong Kong without my DSLR or even a compact camera – and took my iPhone instead. While I didn’t devote the same amount of energy to taking pictures as I would have with better gear, I nonetheless made a conscious effort to make the most of my phone. And although the results are not award worthy, I am pleased with them. One thing I love about the iPhone is the touch-enabled focusing and metering. Wherever you touch is optimized for both clarity and exposure. If only DSLR’s were this simple…
