Shot of the week: Steven for (class) President

Posted by The A-Team on

After a month travelling around the world for work and leisure, we are back in the studio and back on the blog full time again.

This new shot of the week comes to you from Simon Zafrany, a senior in high school in Pennsylvania. The subject is Steven Zhang, an aspiring photographer at the same school. Strobist info described by Simon: “We triggered two Canon flashes: one 580EX II as the keylight and bounced it into an umbrella to Steven’s left at full power, and a Canon 430EX to Steven’s right at around 1/4 or 1/8 power, again bounced into an umbrella.” Flashes were fired with an Aputure Trigmaster. We like Steven’s pose and the choice of black and white in post processing. Simon and Steven will be writing a review of the Trigmaster in the weeks to come, so stay tuned. In the meantime, check out his website.
